About Boynton Ace Hardware: Boynton Ace Hardware is family owned retail hardware store located in Boynton Beach, Florida which has been providing the local community with sales and service since 1972.
General Job Summary: The Cashier is responsible for greeting guests and performing register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise.
The cashier is also responsible for customer assistance with merchandise and customer relationship management via the Ace Rewards program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Customer Service Project a positive and pleasant attitude.
Greet customers entering the store.
Thank customers by name, after finishing transactions.
Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
Process transactions accurately.
Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly and courteously.
Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
Continually build product knowledge and assist customers with store layout and product location.
Assist in pricing, stocking, and marking of merchandise.
Register Operations Follow all store cash register transaction procedures.
Adhere to any promotion rules that may require implementation at the cash registers.
Participate in store and Cashier meetings.
Front End Appearance and Upkeep Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean.
Face and dust front end.
Assist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change.
Ensure forms, supplies and ads are always stocked.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education/Training High School or GED equivalent preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Ability to read Spanish preferred.
Experience 2 years of Cashier experience in a retail store preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Physical Demands Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs.
) and climbing.
Minimum 2 years of Cashier experience in a retail store.
Hardware store experience preferred.
High School or GED equivalent preferred or currently enrolled and attending high school.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Ability to read Spanish preferred.
Ability to work weekends required.
Full time or part time schedule available.
