Our specialties include scheduled maintenance, on-demand mobile maintenance for unscheduled events, and related services in the areas of structural repairs, composite work, non-destructive testing (NDT) and paint capabilities.
We are currently looking for an energetic and outgoing Embraer Technical Instructor who has an A&P or equivalent.

This is a Remote position located near or around a major airport.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Instruct team members in both a classroom type setting and/or in person “hands-on” an aircraft or using simulation tools
Administer theoretical training examinations and/or practical assessments as applicable
Maintain up to date and accurate customer training records for all training conducted
Act in the capacity of Subject Matter Expert (SME) during development and/or upkeep of current and accurate instructor materials as well as client training materials and/or during the development of new training courses and/or modules
Prepare training site/environment for training sessions in advance of training commencement
Maintain current knowledge of subject matter.
Our Ideal candidate has:
Hands on maintenance experience on any of the following civil Embraer aircraft types: Legacy 600, Praetor 500/600, Phenom 100 and 300.
An FAA A&P, Transport Canada AME, an EASA or equivalent license
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Experience in the aviation industry and training is an asset but not required
A working knowledge in basic computer software programs and internet applications
A customer focused attitude and a passion to share what you have learned in your own personal experience
The ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a diverse global team
Ability to travel, 25%
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
7 years related work experience in aviation maintenance and formal instructor training or practical experience delivering training
Working knowledge of mechanical / electronic/ avionics aircraft systems related to area of responsibility as well as prior instructional experience
Working knowledge in a variety of computer software programs, (Windows 2010 Suite, PowerPoint, MS Word, Framemaker, MS Photo Editor, Adobe Pro) in order to develop, revise and deliver training material and presentations
Non-Physical Requirements:
Ability to learn and use technical manuals
Good mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems effectively
Problem solver by effectively reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring and illustrated parts manuals
Ability to communicate in both in writing and verbally with co-workers, customers and Jet East leadership
Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers
Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets
Able to travel to locations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
