Are you ready to go beyond? Job Description: In this role you will support the instrumentation efforts across the entire engine build for both military and commercial engines in our Instrumentation Lab based in West Palm Beach, FL.
This includes applying instrumentation (i.
e.
, pressures, temperatures, strain gages, accelerometers) to piece-part hardware, assisting with routing and securing of instrumentation during the assembly of the engine, working engine dress, packing egress fittings, routing, terminating and troubleshooting sensors during build and test.
You will work closely with other technicians, instrumentation engineers, assembly, and test teams.
You must also employ effective communication between shifts on job status for daily carryover.
Key Responsibilities: Read and execute instrumentation installation drawings.
Install applied sensors such as pressures, thermocouples, strain gages, and accelerometers to piece-part hardware.
Assist assembly with routing and management of instrumentation leads Engine instrumentation - routing, bundling, and securing leads to jump-off points.
Installing and packing egress fittings.
Termination of instrumentation leads to connectors and panels along with troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation.
Must be a U.
S.
Citizen.
This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship Basic Qualifications: AA/AS degree or 2-year post-high school training with a minimum of 10 years of technical experience or a HS diploma and 12 years of technical experience.
Experience in sensor wiring, terminations, egress, and troubleshooting is required.
Sensor types include but are not limited to strain gages, accelerometers, pressure transducers, and thermocouples.
Must be able to work a significant amount of overtime and up to 10% travel.

citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pressure and thermocouple installation.
Experience with strain gage installations using epoxies and ceramic cements.
Familiar with lead routing and securing methods for both hard and soft wires.
Knowledge of egress fittings and connector terminations.
Demonstrated capability of sensor system troubleshooting and repair.
Experience with installing instrumentation on rotating engine hardware.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications and SAP.
Travel: Must be able to work a significant amount of overtime and up to 25% travel.
