A client in West Palm Beach is looking for a Sr Accountant to join their team.
This position has a lot of growth potential with the ability to be fast tracked to Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities:
• The role of the Senior Accountant involves creating and upholding financial records to monitor the organization's resources, debts, profits, losses, tax obligations, and related financial transactions.
• Executes general cost accounting tasks and other linked responsibilities for the organization.
• Produces monthly financial statements, encompassing balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss summaries.
• Manages the overall ledger.
• Assigns codes to invoices, establishes new accounts, reconciles accounts, and concludes monthly financial recordings.
• Regularly reconciles bank accounts, validates deposits, and handles inquiries from financial institutions.
• Ensures harmony in cash outflow accounts, payroll, customer transactions, and other monetary accounts; supervises collections of accounts receivable.
• Validates and/or finalizes invoice payments connected to accounts payable, assuring accurate allocation of payments to relevant accounts.
• Offers support to external auditors, compiling necessary account information and documents for the annual audit process.
• Submits tax forms to federal, state, and local government bodies.
• Collaborates with software providers to sustain accounting software systems; suggests updates to improve accounting software efficiency.
• Oversees the procurement and invoicing system.
• Stays informed about accepted accounting standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in both spoken and written communication
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to particulars
• Familiarity with fundamental financial accounting and cost accounting
• Comprehension of and capacity to follow widely accepted accounting principles
• Skillfulness in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite or comparable applications, as well as accounting software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a closely related field
