Job Summary:
The Finance & Accounting Associate will work as part of a team executing all accounting functions in the Corporate Office.
These functions will include but are not limited to, working with established accounting principles (GAAP), practices, policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, the Finance & Accounting Associate will assist in the preparation and evaluation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial operating reports.
Responsibilities:
Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures
Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliation for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets
Reviewing receivables and account reconciliations for accuracy with the ability to resolve any variances
Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, associated with the preparation of financial statements
Establish balances in pre-paids, accruals, and other accounts using proper accrual methods and expense amortization logic and reconcile account balances in Asset and Liability Accounts
Perform variance and trend analysis versus plans as well as previous years.
Research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data.
Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash and investments
Prepare schedules for year-end audit for independent external auditors.
Provide assistance in the budgeting process
Look for opportunities to innovate and redefine processes and procedures for both efficacy and efficiency
Develop and coordinate automated accounting applications and processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
1 year of professional experience
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and complete tasks within established deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently
