The Controller/Director of Accounting plays a pivotal role in the organization, providing leadership in overseeing comprehensive accounting activities.
Responsible for ensuring precise financial management and reporting, robust internal control implementation, and regulatory compliance, this position is instrumental in driving organizational success.
Duties:
* Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and regulatory reporting
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX regulations
* Manage the general ledger accounting system and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments
* Coordinate payroll processing and ensure accurate calculation of wages and benefits
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
* Collaborate with department managers to develop and monitor departmental budgets
* Provide guidance and support to staff members in matters related to financial management
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of SOX regulations and experience implementing internal controls
* Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or similar systems
* Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and best practices
* Expertise in general ledger accounting principles and practices
* Experience in budgeting and financial forecasting
* Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for financial institutions
* Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations
* Knowledge of debits, credits, and other fundamental accounting concepts
* Understanding of payroll processes and relevant accounting procedures
* Ideal candidate has their CPA and comes out of hospitality.

Pay: $130,000.
