Church of the Palms in Delray Beach, Florida is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to begin immediately.
16 hours per week.
Starting pay $19.
00 per hour.
Pay jumps to $21.
00 per hour after two month training/trial period.
Qualities: accuracy, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, congenial manner
Job: record donations, accounts payable, payroll, month end reports, year end reports
Qualifications:
* Equivalent to 2 semesters of accounting and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Experience in not-for-profit accounting methodology a plus.
* Proficient in accounting software, payroll service, Excel, general internet and pc use.
* Experience with Church Windows software and SurePayroll services are pluses.
* Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for the bookkeeping profession.
This may be accomplished by participating in training, attendance at workshops and classes, reading appropriate materials and/or membership in local professional organizations*.
